Special EventsHome Opener. “Hockey Night in Brockville” POSTER NIGHT (Fri Sept 16th vs Pembroke) THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN. The Brockville Braves are revved up to start the new season and their first day of action back in Brockville is jammed packed with fun for fans to enjoy! The Brockville Braves will start the game day with a Tailgate BBQ at the Memorial Centre held from 4:45-7:00. Hot Dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be served. We will also be selling used Brockville Braves hockey equipment as well as donation booth set up all in support of “Making Play Possible”. It is the Braves goal to raise money to give children a chance to play hockey and follow in the footsteps of their favourite hockey idols. Make sure you grab a bite to eat before the game and support your Brockville Braves as well as “Making Play Possible”. Now its game on and the Braves are ready to take on the Canadian Champion Pembroke Lumber Kings, sponsored proudly by “The Observer”. We dedicate this night to our new partnership with the BMHA, in BMHA Night. Don’t miss features including special recognition of volunteers and members of the BMHA as well as their players. Also, The Keystorm Pub will be holding a bar in the lobby so be sure to enjoy a beverage during the game! Also we encourage fans to bring their most creative posters cheering on your Braves for Poster Night. This is your chance to be creative! Prizes will be awarded to the top three posters of the night. After the game is over, this is your opportunity to meet the new 2011/2012 Brockville team. The Braves will be in the lobby immediately following the game for a Meet and Greet Autograph Session. So make sure you enjoy all the festivities of our opening night, it’s one you won`t want to miss!!
Black, Red and White Night (Fri Sept 23rd vs Cumberland) The Braves wear their colours each and every game, and now they are encouraging fans to join them! Wear your team colours black, red and white and fill the rink with team spirit and pride!
South Grenville Minor Hockey Night (Sun Sept 25th vs Smiths Falls IN PRESCOTT) RIVERSIDE PONTIAC BUICK NIGHT. This is a special game for the Brockville Braves organization. We will be playing a home game in Prescott giving Prescott area fans exposure to great Junior A hockey action. The Braves have paired with Riverside Pontiac Buick to bring you this special night. As such, they will be displaying some of their very own cars on the ice during the intermission. Also members from the South Grenville Minor Hockey League will be doing an intermission scrimmage to get travelling Brockville fans exposed to their young talent. The Braves are proud to be helping the area by donating to the Prescott “Food for All” Food Bank on this night. So bring non-perishable goods and donations to support this great cause. We hope to see Brockville faithful’s in Prescott, and new Prescott area fans in attendance for this special night!
Thanksgiving with the Braves (Fri Oct 7th vs Gloucester) Join your Braves for our special Thanksgiving Night. This is a night to thank not only our loyal fans, but our billet families for their commitment and dedication to being our players “home away from home”. Also, during the intermission we will be holding thanksgiving themed intermission games with chances to win turkeys for the thanksgiving weekend! We will have turkey bowling, as well as a game where several lucky fans will be picked and asked to create a turkey dinner! This is sure to be a great night so don’t miss it!
Jersey Night (Fri Oct 21st vs Hawkesbury) Braves, Leafs, Habs, Sens, Canucks? Whatever your favourite team jersey make sure you sport it to the game tonight and be entered into a draw to win an authentic autographed Brockville Braves jersey. Also if you enter the gate wearing your jersey, you will receive $1.00 off regular admission price!
Skate with the Braves/Halloween Bash (Fri Oct 28th vs Kanata) It’s again time for our annual Skate with the Braves event! The event runs from 11:00am-3:00pm. The day is jam packed with fun for young kids, with the opportunity to meet and spend time with all of the Brockville Braves players. There will be an hour long skate with on ice activities followed by a mac and cheese lunch. Following lunch, kids will have an opportunity to get autographs and photos with their favourite Brave players. We will end the event with several activity stations including pumpkin carving, decorating Halloween cookies, decorating Halloween loot bags and more. Each child will also receive a free ticket to that evening’s game against the Kanata Stallions. All of this for a low cost of $20. A great deal for a full day of fun! Halloween Bash Night!We encourage everyone to wear a costume to the game for our Halloween Bash. If you are wearing a costume, you will enter the gate free of charge. That’s right, FREE! (However it cannot be just a mask, you must be wearing a full costume to qualify) You will also be entered into a costume contest for a chance to win a Halloween Loot Bag package full of great prizes and goodies. Let’s spook the Stallions and get into the Halloween Spirit!
Remembrance Day Ceremony (Fri Nov 11th vs Kemptville) Join the Brockville Braves and family with honouring our past, present and future veterans who put their lives on the line for the freedom of our country. We will be honouring this significant day for Canadians with the playing of the last post, prayer and a moment of silence. Also be there to honour any veteran or current standing member of the army who might be in attendance. Make sure you wear a poppy or purchase one at the entrance gate.
Spaghetti Dinner and a Hockey Game (Sun Nov 13th vs Smiths Falls) The Braves will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner prior to the game against Smiths Falls. Come and enjoy this dinner and be entered into a chance to win many door prizes. There will be a bar available courtesy of The Keystorm Pub, as well as great food being served by the Braves best staff around! Cost is only $10.00 and includes a non-alcoholic beverage, caesar salad, garlic bread and a hearty plate of spaghetti! Then, immediately following dinner, head into the rink to watch some Sunday evening hockey against the Highway 29 Rivals, the Smiths Falls Bears, sponsored by “Howard Bus Services”
Blackout Night (Fri Nov 25th vs Cornwall) Since Blackout Night was such a hit last season, we are doing it again! Make sure you wear all black to the game to support our blackout theme in a game sponsored by “Axens”. If you have your red lights from last season be sure to bring them again! We are going to turn the lights out on the Colts! Be sure you make it to this game, it’s sure to be full of excitement and fun!
Santa’s Giveaway (Fri Dec 23rd vs Cornwall) Merry Christmas Fans from the entire Braves organization. We want to make this game, sponsored by “The Keystorm Pub”, full of Christmas cheer and magic for everyone! Santa will be here greeting fans and spreading the holiday cheer. We will also have many great giveaways for the Christmas season which would make great stocking stuffers including 2 10 packs of tickets for the remainder of the season valued at over $100 a piece, gift certificates and much much, more! Also if you wear a Santa hat to the game, you will receive a free ticket to the December 30th game vs the Kemptville 73’s! School Slumber Party Night (Fri Jan 13th vs Kanata) This is a night geared towards the kids! Kids, have you been wanting to hang out with friends on a Friday night without spending a dime and don’t know what to do? This is a chance to get together with your friends, come to a great hockey game for free, then go home after and have a slumber party with them when the night ends! In keeping with the slumber party theme, if you wear your PJ’s to the game, you will receive a free treat upon entrance! Information will be sent to your school in December/January so watch for any updates regarding this night! Only select grades will be participating in this special night.
The War Continues (Fri Jan 27th vs Pembroke) The war between your battling Brockville Braves and the 5-Peat Champion Pembroke Lumber Kings continues, in an exciting game sponsored by “Chevron”. Games between these two power-houses have never disappointed in the past, and will not disappoint on this night! Support your boys in this ongoing power struggle and wear red black and white war paint to the game, or receive some when you arrive. Show your spirit, the Braves want YOU to become part of their army in this war!
Date Night (Fri Feb 3rd vs Kemptville) Can’t think of a good way to spend your evening with your significant other? Well the Braves have the answer! Enjoy our date night game sponsored by “Howard Travel”, where not only you get into the game with your date for a discounted price ($20.00 for 2 adults, $15.00 for 2 students/seniors), get a special concession treat, but as a couple, you are entered into a chance to participate in a fun intermission event with a chance to win a valentine’s day dinner for 2 at the Mill Restaurant!
Victim Services Night (Fri Feb 10th Carleton Place) The Braves are proud to have a night dedicated to a powerful and amazing cause. Members from Leeds and Grenville Victim Services will be attending tonight’s game to raise awareness and share information regarding the importance behind their organization. Information booths will be set up, as well as donation stations. Victim Services will also be raffling off some great items that you will not want to miss! So come and support a good cause, and enjoy a great hockey game!
Family Night (Friday Feb 17th vs Cumberland) Get your family clan together and come to the Memorial Centre to see the Braves face off against the Grads! We have many amazing features being offered to every family that enters the gate. Family packages for the game have been discounted to $25.00! We also are offering many great giveaways, as well as a chance for each family to win a dinner where they get to choose two of their favourite Braves players to join them! Fan Appreciation Night (Fri March 9th vs Nepean) Well fans, it’s that time of the year again. Another regular season has come to an end, and we could not have done it without your outstanding, constant support! As such, we are dedicating this night to the best fans in the league! Not only do we want to treat you to great hockey, we want to treat you to great giveaways, starting with entrance to the game. The first 100 people to enter the gate will receive free popcorn.
